Goals of the course                 
  • To lay a foundation for sports-persons to build a career in sport management.
  • To develop organisational capabilities of sports-persons to a level that will enable them to perform effectively as assistants to managers.


Objectives of the course.

  • A working knowledge of the structure and organisation of sport and its place within society, so as to enable them to make informed management decisions.
  • Aspects of management needed to provide the necessary confidence to be able to participate effectively in working with and through people to market and develop sport within an organisation or a community.
